Redesigning a Mobile App from scratch

M3 • C6

This is a mini-series where I redesign the Fold Money Mobile App from the ground up. This series has 15+ videos. The aim of this series is to show what goes through Redesigning a Mobile App from the ground up. While most of the processes remain the same if you were designing a new feature, designing a new app or redesigning a feature, there are a few things that are often done differently.

There is always more than one way to redesign an app. It entirely depends on the type of app, goal of the redesign, and scope of the redesign.

We will look at every single aspect of Product Design. Right from font sizes and colors, all the way to navigation and interaction patterns. I will show you how to make design decisions through design iterations. I will also show you how to break down problems into smaller problems and solve each of them one piece at a time.

Disclaimer

I have created this mini-series for educational purposes only. This is my honest attempt to redesign the Fold Money Mobile App. My content is purely dedicated to educate people and I only do it with the best intentions.

I have deep respect for the work being done by the entire team of Fold Money. My intention is to provide constructive feedback and share my personal opinions. I am aware that I lack context of the functioning of the company and the ways that product and design decisions are made. Hence my feedback at times may be partially correct.

I’ve never had any intention to defame or spread any form of negativity. My only intention is to set a high standard and ensure that there is something to learn and takeaway from this mini-series for everyone. Thank you and hope you all enjoy the series.
